MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team swept Central Michigan this weekend, handling them 13-0 on Friday at the Arrington Ice Arena, and 8-0 on Saturday in Mount Pleasant.
In Friday's Bulldog home opener,
Marcus Mack recorded a hat trick, while
Will Nicholson,
Dominic Melone, and
Sam Carper all scored twice.
Ondrej Benda,
Ryan Hoover,
Sincere Toto, and
Colin O'Rourke each tallied once. Goaltender
Alexander Herman recorded the shutout win in goal.
Saturday's matchup saw
Tyler Hissong score twice, while
Ryan Hutcheson,
Greg Obrycki,
Aiden Thede,
Joey Finfer,
Dominic Melone, and
Willie McGuire each scored once. Goaltender
Petr Sup earned the shutout win.
The MD2 Bulldogs will next face off against the University of Michigan in a home and home series on Thursday and Friday of next week. Puck drop at 7:30 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena on Thursday and 7:20 PM on Friday in Ann Arbor.
