ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 3 hockey team faced off against the Trine University Thunder this past weekend in a two-game set, beginning at the Arrington Ice Arena on Friday and wrapping up in Angola on Saturday. The Bulldogs collected a 5-2 home win and a 3-0 road win to sweep the series.
The Bulldogs previously defeated Trine earlier this season by a 6-0 score at the AIA on October 6. In their second meeting of the season on Friday, Adrian bested Trine at home once again, dominating on the score sheet and in the shot column.

Adam Hoff, and
Anthony Alfonsi provided the first four Bulldog tallies in the contest, while
Brett Whitten buried one into the empty net late in the game for the 5-2 win. Goaltender,
Brandon Hiuser, made 17 saves in his first victory of the season as the Bulldogs out-shot the Thunder, 47-18. Captain,
Evan Bliss, finished the afternoon with three helpers.
Adrian hit the road to Indiana on Saturday night to wrap the series, coming out with another dominant performance. Alfonsi, Symons, and
Gavin Daum registered goals in the match-up and goaltender,
Aidan Knox, collected his second shutout of the season, making 15 saves for his squad in the series clincher.
The MD3 Bulldogs currently sit 3-2 on the season and will return to action this weekend against the University of Michigan. The team will hop on the bus for a battle with the Wolverines this Friday, November 1 at 8:00 PM, and then return to Adrian to close the series on Sunday, November 3 at 5:00 PM at the Arrington Ice Arena.
