FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team earned a sweep of Indiana Tech last week, colliding with the Warriors on Thursday and Saturday. The Bulldogs collected a 4-3 overtime win at the Arrington Ice Arena on Thursday before an explosive 10-1 victory in Fort Wayne on Saturday.
Adrian out-shot Indiana Tech, 54-21, in the series opener but the Warriors kept it close, forcing a sudden death period to break the 3-3 tie.
Griffin Clark,
Bazl Cook, and
Shaun Potts scored the goals for Adrian in regulation, while
Jack Waldo played hero in overtime on the power-play. Goaltender,
Petr Sup, made 18 saves on 21 shots faced in the Adrian win.
The Bulldogs exploded for ten in game two to clinch the series sweep on Saturday. Waldo,
Brady DesMadryl,
Willie McGuire, and
Greg Obrycki scored once.
Jack Kraemer,
Brayden Morris, and Clark each tallied twice. Goaltender,
Matthew Ryynanen, stopped 19 of 20 in his fourth win of the campaign.
The MD2 Bulldogs will host Illinois State University at the Arrington Ice Arena on November 15-16. Puck drops at 3:00 PM and 11:00 AM.
