ADRIAN, MICH. - The Adrian College men's wrestling team delivered a dominant performance against cross-town rival Siena Heights University, overwhelming the Saints with an impressive 47-5Â victory.
The Bulldogs set the tone early in the 125-weight class, where senior Adrian Rosas secured a commanding tech fall to kick off the dual in style. Riding that momentum, senior Tyler Davis followed up in the 133 division with another tech fall, adding five more points to Adrian's tally.
Senior Mackenzie Baird kept the streak alive in the 141-weight class, claiming the Bulldogs' third consecutive tech fall. In the 149 division, senior Sam Ross faced a formidable opponent but emerged victorious with a clutch 9-7 decision, further extending Adrian's lead.
Junior Aiden Smith added to the Bulldogs' advantage in the 157 division, winning his match via medical forfeit in the first period. Senior Zachary Platte continued the onslaught in the 165-weight class, swiftly pinning his opponent in the first period.
Junior Spencer Vos followed suit in the 174 division, earning another first-period win by fall, solidifying Adrian's dominance. Senior Trenton DiGenova kept the momentum rolling in the 184-weight class, dismantling his opponent with a decisive tech fall.
In the 197-weight division, senior Blake Williams controlled the mat from start to finish, capping off his performance with a third-period pin. The lone setback for Adrian came in the 285 division, where sophomore Daxton Looney faced a tough competitor and was pinned in the second period but Siena Heights was deducted a point due to unsportsmanlike conduct.
It was a commanding team effort for the Bulldogs, who showcased their depth and talent in a near-flawless victory over their rivals.

Adrian is back in action on December, 6th and 7th where they will compete in the Messiah-Petrofes Invitational with the first match to begin at 10:00 AM.
