ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 3 hockey team took on Central Michigan in a two-game home-and-home set this past weekend, splitting the final series of the semester with the Chippewas. The Bulldogs fell 4-1 on Saturday in Mount Pleasant, before winning 4-3 on Sunday at the Arrington Ice Arena.
The Bulldogs battled hard in game one, but couldn't buy much offense as Central Michigan held out for the win. Captain
Evan Bliss tallied for Adrian and
Aidan Knox stood in goal in the loss, making 38 saves.
The Bulldogs put together a much better effort on Sunday afternoon, as
Gavin Daum,
AJ Guibord,
Anthony Alfonsi, and
James Schmidt tallied goals for the Bulldogs, while Knox stood on his head, making 44 saves to earn the win and hold off the Chips for a series split.
The MD3 Bulldogs close the Fall semester with a seemingly better record than their previous season, sitting 8-7-0 heading into 2025. The team returns to action on January 24 at Oakland University.
