EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 2 hockey team went on the road to Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing to close out the 2023-2024 regular season on Friday night, but eventually fell to the Michigan State Spartans, 4-3 in overtime.

The Bulldogs received scoring from Will Nicholson, Sam Carper, and Greg Obrycki. Goaltender Petr Sup was in goal for the Bulldogs, taking the loss in between the pipes.

The MD2 Bulldogs finish their remarkable regular season with a 23-2-1 record and currently sit at No. 6 in the ACHA MD2 Central Region National Rankings.

The team will now look forward to the Central Regional Tournament which will take place in Grand Rapids at the Patterson Ice Center on February 23-25. Should the Bulldogs remain in the top-six of the Central Region, they will receive a bye to the semifinals of the regional tournament, thus not competing again until February 24. The two remaining teams from each regional tournament will then advance to the National Championship Tournament in March.

The final national ranking of the season will release this coming week and determine the seeding for all four MD2 regional tournaments.
