OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's golf team competed in the MIAA Spring Final on Friday and Saturday where the Bulldogs served as host at The Legacy Golf Club. Adrian went on to win the two-day tournament totaling a score of 610, but finished the season in fourth in the MIAA Standings. The Bulldogs earned one First Team All-MIAA selection and two Second Team All-MIAA selections.
Joe Renfer led the Bulldogs and the field as he tied for first place in the two-day event. Renfer shot a 71 on Friday to finish one under par before shooting 78 on Saturday to finish the tournament with a 149.
Gabe Campbell tied for fourth in the field after shooting 79 on Friday before improving on Saturday to shoot 74 for a total of 153.
Cameron Bozyk shot a two-day total of 154 to tie for sixth after shooting 74 on Friday and 80 on Saturday.
Hendrik de Koning shot 157 for the tournament after firing a 73 on Friday and 84 on Saturday.
Christian Long rounded out the starting five with a 160 between the two days with a round of 79 and a round of 81.
Ryan Van Eyk placed eighth in the field as he played as an individual for the Bulldogs. Van Eyk shot a 78 on Friday and a 77 on Saturday to total a 155.
Sam Sawyer also played as an individual where he shot 87 and 90 for a 177 total.
The MIAA selected its All-Conference Teams after the MIAA Spring Final with the top-6 averages through the six MIAA season rounds earning First Team honors, and the second group of six earning Second Team honors. de Koning finished the year with a MIAA average of 76.83 to earn Second Team All-MIAA while
Cameron Bozyk averaged 76.66 for the six rounds to also earn Second Team All-MIAA.
Joe Renfer averaged 75.83 for the six rounds to lock in a First Team All-MIAA selection.
Adrian's season comes to an end after the MIAA Spring Final. The Bulldogs will return to action is the fall of 2024 where they will look to improve on their fourth place MIAA finish.
