ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's golf team began conference play on Tuesday afternoon at MIAA Jamboree #1. The Jamboree was originally scheduled to be hosted by Alma College, but due to renovations to the team's home course, the Jamboree was moved to Trine University. The Bulldogs went on to shoot 306 on Tuesday to finish fifth out of the eight MIAA teams.
Cameron Bozyk led the Bulldogs on Tuesday finishing the round with a 74 to shoot +3 and tie for 12th.
Carter Klawonn shot 76 for Adrian followed by a 77 from
Christian Long.
Joe Renfer shot 79 for the Bulldogs while
Mason Gurney shot 87 to round out the starting five.
Jaden Eggers played as an individual on Tuesday and finished the round with a 75.
After one round of the MIAA Jamborees, Trine University sits in first place after shooting 284 to lead second place Hope College by one stroke. Albion College shot 299 followed by Calvin University with a 300.
Adrian returns to action on September 13-14 as the team hosts a two-day tournament at the Tecumseh Golf Club. Both days will start at 11:00 AM.
