TECUMSEH, MICH. - Adrian College's men's golf team delivered a strong performance at the Irish Hills invitational this past Saturday. The A team secured a commendable third place overall with a total of 614 strokes over two rounds. The B team finished eighth, while the C team took ninth.
Senior standout Joe Renfer led the Bulldogs with an impressive eighth-place finish, carding 151 strokes. Junior Christian Long followed closely, securing 11th place with 153 strokes. Sophomore Cameron Bozyk made a notable jump, finishing in a tie for 12th with 154 strokes. Freshman Carter Klawonn rounded out the top finishes for the A team, placing tied for 18th with 156 strokes. Sophomore Jaden Eggers completed the lineup with a tie for 37th, finishing with 164 strokes.
For the B team, freshman Zayn Spidalieri shone brightly, tying for ninth place with 152 strokes. Sophomore Sam Sawyer ended in 29th with 160 strokes, while freshman Jackson Colander tied for 30th with 161 strokes. Freshman Michael Shubeck and sophomore Mason Gurney both finished tied for 48th, each with 175 strokes.
On the C team, freshman Max Gavric led with a tie for 12th, posting 154 strokes. Freshman Cole Zavadil tied for 41st with 166 strokes, graduate student Connor May finished 47th with 172 strokes, and freshman Jack Waldo concluded the weekend tied for 50th with 176 strokes.
The Bulldogs are set to continue their season on the road at Kalamazoo College for the MIAA Jamboree 2 on Saturday, September 28th, with the first tee time scheduled for 10:00 AM.
