ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College ACHA Division I women's hockey team battled hard through their weekend series hosting no. 3 Liberty at Arrington Ice Arena in a top 10 match up. The bulldogs fell 4-0 Friday evening and 3-1 Saturday afternoon.
The Flames were dominate in Friday evenings game, out shooting the Bulldogs 47-29. Graduate student
Rieley Jessie-Gerelli was in goal for Adrian, recording 43 saves off the 47 Flames shots on goal. Liberty tallied three powerplay goals and one shorthanded goal.
Friday afternoon, the Flames went up 2-0 before the Bulldogs broke their shutout streak on the season, with junior Tayrn Morris on the Powerplay. The freshman duo,
Addison Scoville and
Sydney Haggart added helpers to Morris's goal. Liberty scored a buzzer to add another goal to their lead to close out the game. Jessie-Gerelli in goal for the Bulldogs again, facing 48 shots saving 45 of them. The Bulldogs putting up 27 shots on goal.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Friday and Saturday for a home-and-home series against Grand Valley. On the road at Grand Valley Friday for a 7:30pm puck drop and home for their Domestic Violence Awareness game Saturday for a 7:00pm puck drop.
