ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College MD3 hockey team battled through two hard-fought games against No. 19 Lawrence Tech over the weekend, taking the nationally ranked Blue Devils to overtime both days but ultimately coming away with a 2-1 overtime loss on Saturday at Lawrence Tech and a 3-2 shootout loss on Sunday at Arrington.
Adrian kept pace with the Blue Devils in a low-scoring defensive battle on Saturday evening. After a scoreless opening period, the Blue Devils struck first on a power-play goal at 14:30 of the second. The Bulldogs answered midway through the third when

Adrian responded with another strong effort in the series finale Sunday afternoon.
Henry Darnell opened the scoring at 10:32 of the first, but the Blue Devils tied it late in the period. After the Bulldogs went ahead in the second on a shorthanded marker by Doersch—his second goal of the weekend—the Blue Devils answered again to knot the game at 2–2. Neither side scored in the third or overtime, sending the game to a shootout where Lawrence Tech edged out the 3–2 final. Rainey delivered another excellent performance in goal, stopping 29 of 31 shots.
The MD3 Bulldogs now sit at a 10-5-1 overall record and 2-1-1 conference record. Adrian will take Thanksgiving break off before they host Calvin University Friday, December 5th for a 3:00 PM puck drop.
