OXFORD, Ohio -- The Adrian College WD1 hockey team faced off against No. 8 Miami (OH), where Adrian currently sits at No. 7, on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs hosted the Redhawks Friday afternoon in a 2-0 victory, then hit the road Saturday to Oxford, Ohio, coming home with a 1-0 victory.

Genessie Williams picked up the assists, giving the Bulldogs the jump they needed in a tight, defensively oriented game. The Bulldogs extended the lead in the second period. At 8:11, freshman

Ava Seychel. That goal would stand as the final tally of the game. Despite being held off the scoreboard, Miami generated 24 shots but every one of them was turned aside by graduate student Rieley Jessie-Gerell, who delivered a flawless 24-save shutout while playing the full 60 minutes. Adrian outshot Miami 43–24.
After a scoreless opening period Saturday afternoon, the Bulldogs broke through early in the second. At 4:19, junior Taryn Morris buried the game's only goal, finishing a setup from Williams to give Adrian the edge. Adrian controlled the shot totals throughout the contest, outshooting Miami 30–10. In net, Jessie-Gerelli was flawless, turning away all 10 shots faced to secure another shutout and preserve the 1–0 win.
The WD1 Bulldogs stay undefeated in conference play with a 7-0 record and an 11-6-2 overall record on their season. The Bulldogs will be back in action after the Thanksgiving break on Thursday, December 4th as they host west coast team, University of Arizona for a 5:15 PM puck drop. Then they will face another conference series Michigan State University for a home and home on Saturday, December 6th at home for a 7:00 PM puck drop and Sunday, December 7th away for a 12:30 PM puck drop.
