ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College ACHA Men's Division 1 hockey team hosted Indiana Tech in a midweek matchup on Tuesday night, just before the Thanksgiving break. The No. 5 Bulldogs came away with a 3-1 victory over the No. 16 Warriors.
The game remained scoreless through the first period, but Hunter Allen put the Bulldogs on the board early in the second. Indiana Tech quickly answered, tying the game 1-1, but Adrian responded just 25 seconds later as Keegan DeCaluwe netted a go-ahead goal. DeCaluwe struck again just over a minute later, increasing the Bulldogs' lead to 3-1. Both teams were held scoreless in the third period, securing Adrian's victory.
Ethan McLaughlin earned an assist on the Bulldogs' first goal, while Caleb Minns and Allen each recorded assists on both of DeCaluwe's tallies. Adrian's goalie, Peyton Trzaska, made 30 saves to earn the win.
The Bulldogs will return to GL6 conference play on Thursday, December 4, when they host Purdue University Northwest at 8:05 PM to kick off the series.
