GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Adrian College baseball team traveled to Denison University to kick off a weekend tournament and stunned the No. 6 ranked team in the country, rolling to a 13-3 victory over the Big Red.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Adrian jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning thanks to an RBI single from Nic Bruder and a fielder's choice RBI by David Kedrow.

• In the third inning, Ryan Davis delivered a 2-RBI single to extend the Bulldogs' lead to 4-0.

• The Bulldogs kept their momentum going, adding four more runs in the fourth inning. Kedrow hit a sacrifice fly, and Easton Rogers followed with a 3-run homer, pushing Adrian's lead to 8-0.

• By the sixth inning, Adrian extended its lead to 10-0. Davis reached on a fielder's choice to drive in another run, while Kedrow later scored on an error by the Denison pitcher.

• Denison managed to get on the scoreboard in the seventh, plating two runs, but Adrian answered back with three more. Davis hit a sacrifice fly, Jack Boike added an RBI single, and another run crossed the plate on a fielder's choice by Rolando Jimenez.

• Denison added a third run in the eighth, but it wasn't enough as the Bulldogs cruised to a 13-3 victory over the No. 6-ranked Big Red.

TOP DAWGS

• Six different Bulldogs recorded two hits apiece in the game.

• Ryan Davis drove in four RBIs, while Easton Rogers contributed three RBIs.

• Jaxon Clark earned the win for Adrian, tossing six scoreless innings, allowing just seven hits, and striking out one batter.
