CORALVILLE, Iowa.- Mia Gaetjens wrapped up her first NCWWC National Championship tournament yesterday as the standout freshman, finishing 1-2.
Mia Gaetjens had an impressive debut at the national stage, finishing with a 1-2 record in a highly competitive tournament. She kicked off her campaign with an outstanding victory by pinfall in her first bout. In her second match, she fought hard but ultimately fell by pinfall in the championship second round, putting her into the consolation bracket. There, she faced another tough challenge and was defeated, marking her second loss of the tournament and bringing her historic season to a close.
Despite the setbacks, Mia's first-year performance was remarkable. With an overall record of 27-16, she demonstrated incredible resilience and potential, setting a strong foundation for what promises to be a bright future as a Bulldog.
