ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's rugby team competed in the University of Michigan Wolverine 7's Tournament on Saturday, coming out with a third-place finish.
The Bulldogs got off to a rocky start on Saturday, losing their first three matches, but qualifying for the third-place bracket.
After losses to Wheeling University, Walsh University, and St. Bonaventure University, the Bulldogs bounced back with a 26-10 revenge win over St. Bonaventure in their final match of the day to claim third.
Scoring tries for the Bulldogs on Saturday were
Jorja Pennington,
Jersey Wilson, and
Brooke Blomquist. In addition, three conversions were made by
Madison Williamson.
The Adrian College women's rugby squad will return to action for the Trainwreck 7's next weekend in Indiana.
