ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College baseball team capped off another strong season with its third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Regional Championship. Entering as the No. 4 seed, the Bulldogs faced top-seeded UW-Whitewater in a rematch of both their opening game of the 2025 Regionals and the 2021 Regional Championship held in Whitewater, Wisconsin. Despite a hard-fought effort, Adrian fell short, 4-1, bringing their season to a close.
How It Happened

UW-Whitewater struck first with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead.

Adrian responded in the top of the third when Jack Boike reached base and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Nic Bruder, tying the game at 1-1.

In the bottom of the third, Whitewater loaded the bases and capitalized with back-to-back RBI singles, pushing across three runs to regain a 4-1 advantage.

Adrian was quiet offensively for several innings until Rolando Jimenez doubled to left-center in the seventh, but the Bulldogs were unable to bring him home.

In the top of the ninth, Adrian mounted a rally, loading the bases and forcing a pitching change, but couldn't deliver the key hit to extend the game.

The Bulldogs recorded six hits on the day, with contributions from Linken Hayward, Nic Bruder, Easton Rogers, Cam Oliver, Rolando Jimenez, and Jack Boike.

Season Recap
Adrian finishes the 2025 season with a 30-18 overall record. The Bulldogs captured both the MIAA Regular Season and Tournament titles and made their third straight trip to the NCAA Regionals. With a strong core and postseason experience, Adrian looks to build on this momentum heading into the 2026 campaign.
