ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Athletic Director Craig Rainey has announced the return of Kenneth Beatty as the head coach of the Adrian College eSports program. Beatty, an Adrian College alumnus, graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in writing.
A lifelong gamer, Beatty began playing at the age of eight and has since developed extensive experience across multiple consoles and genres, including open-world games, first-person shooters, and sports titles. He previously served a brief stint as head coach of the eSports program just over a year ago and now returns to lead the team with renewed focus and energy.
The Adrian College eSports program continues to expand, fielding teams in a wide variety of games. During the 2024–25 season, the Bulldogs competed in titles such as Super Smash Bros., Valorant, Madden, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, Rocket League, and League of Legends.
"I'm incredibly excited to be back in Adrian," said Beatty. "It's a great day to be a Bulldog!"
Elliot Discher will remain on staff in a part-time consulting role, providing ongoing support for the program. Coach Beatty is set to begin his responsibilities immediately, focusing on preparations for the upcoming 2025–26 season.
