ADRIAN, Mich.- The Adrian College NSCA Division I softball team hosted Glen Oak Community College this past weekend in a competitive doubleheader.
In game one, the Bulldogs' bats were on fire as
Courtney Robertson led the charge with a 3-for-4 performance.
Michelle Huffman chipped in by going 2-for-3, scoring twice, and driving in two runs, while
Hayden Cutler added a strong 2-for-5 outing with three RBIs. Despite putting up 10 runs on 11 hits, Adrian couldn't hold off Glen Oak's offense, falling in a high-scoring battle, 17-10.
Game two told a much different story, turning into a defensive showdown.
Greer Simpson provided the Bulldogs' lone RBI, going 1-for-3 at the plate. Adrian collected six hits and had a chance to rally in the bottom of the seventh, but their comeback came up just short in a narrow 3-2 loss.
