ADRIAN, Mich. – Adrian College Sports Information Director Mike Prang has been selected to participate in the 2026 NCAA Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program.
Prang is one of only 30 athletic communications professionals selected nationwide and one of two representatives from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The program will take place December 6-8 at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis.
As Adrian's Sports Information Director, Prang helps lead the communications coverage and promotion of the college's 53 athletic teams. He highlights Adrian's student-athletes and athletic programs through website content, statistics, record keeping, media relations, broadcasts, social media, and graphic design.
Launched in 2024, the Emerging Elite Program was developed in partnership with the Division III Sports Information Directors Association and College Sports Communicators. The initiative prepares emerging athletic communications professionals for leadership responsibilities in Division III athletics.
During the three-day program, participants will take part in leadership sessions, team-management exercises, professional development workshops and discussions about the changing landscape of athletic communications. Each participant receives full funding to attend the program along with complimentary registration for the 2027 College Sports Communicators Convention.
