ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College D3 club baseball team fell to Bowling Green, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon at Nicolay Field. The loss snapped the Bulldogs' four-game winning streak.

Bowling Green scored once in the first inning before adding runs in the third and fourth to take a 3-0 lead. Adrian threatened in the bottom of the third when Blake Moran and Jay Fuhs recorded back-to-back singles, but the Bulldogs were unable to bring either runner home.

Bowling Green extended its advantage with three runs in the sixth inning. Adrian created another scoring opportunity in the bottom half when Fuhs singled, stole second and advanced to third while Tate Wyse drew a walk. Bowling Green escaped the inning without allowing a run.

Fuhs led the Adrian offense by going 2-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base. Moran and Connor Begley also recorded hits for the Bulldogs.

Ivan Mata started on the mound and allowed one earned run over three innings while striking out three without issuing a walk. Nate Lindner pitched the next three innings before Sam Sipe retired all three batters he faced in a perfect seventh.

Adrian returns to Nicolay Field on Saturday, October 31, for a doubleheader against the University of Michigan-Flint beginning at 3 p.m.
