ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College MD2 hockey team closed out their regular season Saturday evening and was shut out in a 5–0 loss to Calvin University.
Calvin jumped out to an early lead with two goals in the opening period and continued to apply pressure throughout the game. Despite being outshot 38–44 overall, Adrian struggled to generate sustained offense and was unable to find the back of the net.
The Knights added one goal in the second period before scoring twice more in the third, including a power-play tally at the 4:22 mark.
Goaltender Alexander Herman made 33 saves on 38 shots for Adrian College, keeping the Bulldogs competitive despite the scoreline.
The MD2 Bulldogs conclude their regular season with a 13-12 overall record. Stay tuned for the MD2 regional schedule as they Bulldogs will compete for the championships on Friday-Saturday in Hammond, Indiana.
