ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College MD2 hockey team hit the road to Schoolcraft Saturday evening falling 2-10 and hosted Schoolcraft Sunday falling 1-5.
Saturday evening, Schoolcraft hopped on an early lead scoring four unanswered goals to go up 4-0. The Bulldogs were able to find the back of the net when
Matthew Krueger was able to close out the first period going down 4-1. The Ocelots were able to put two more goals away in the second period to extend their lead to 6-1. Schoolcraft did not let off the gas pedal as they executed on the power-play three times in a row at the start of the third period. Brady Desmadryl was able to get the Bulldogs on the board shorthanded with the help from Braeden Mcnamara. Although, that would be the only Bulldogs goal in the third period, the Ocelots closed out the game adding one more goal to the board to secure the 10-2 victory for them.
Schoolcraft took the early lead once again Sunday afternoon, scoring three power-play goals to give the Ocelots the 3-0 lead heading into the second period. The Ocelots did not stop there as they scored another goal at 12:10 shorthanded. The Bulldogs responded back on the power-play from Mcnamara at 10:39 and
Harry Dembowski adding himself the helper. Schoolcraft closed out the period with their final goal of the game at 9:02 of the second period, with no scoring in the third the game ended 5-1. The Ocelots dominated the Bulldogs in shots 76-21, with senior goaltender
Alexander Herman making 71 outstanding saves.
The MD2 Bulldogs will be back in action Friday on the road at Michigan-Flint for a 8:00 PM puck drop and home hosting the Wolverines Saturday for an 8:00 PM puck drop.
