CAROL STREAM, Ill. – The Adrian College baseball team traveled to the Chicagoland area this weekend and opened up against No. 1 Denison University. The No. 17 ranked Bulldogs battled windy conditions against the No. 1 ranked team in the nation and dropped the contest, 15-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Denison jumped out to an early 6-0 lead through two innings.
- In the fourth inning, Gabe Jones launched a 2-run homer followed by an RBI groundout from Christian Oliver to trail 6-3.
- Denison answered with five in the bottom of the fourth and two in the fifth to pull ahead 11-3.
- Oliver homered in the sixth innings before driving in a run on a double in the eighth inning making it 15-5. Denison added two in the eighth inning to end the game early with a ten-run victory.
- Oliver led the Bulldogs with two hits and three RBIs on the day.
- Edward Bieniasz suffered his first loss of the year in 3.1 innings on the mound.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to face North Central College on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 PM ET. Adrian's contest on Sunday has been postponed due to potential weather in the forecast, and will be made up at a later date.
