GRANVILLE, Ohio. – The Adrian College men's golf team traveled to Denison University over the weekend to compete in a two-day tournament. The Bulldogs finished ninth out of 14 teams with a team score of 601 after a 302 on Saturday before a 299 on Sunday.
Jack Vogel led the Bulldogs individually, finishing with a two-day score of 146. Vogel carded a 72 in Saturday's opening round before shooting a 74 on Sunday.
Michael Shubeck finished just behind Vogel with a 148. Shubeck opened the tournament with a 77 on Saturday before turning in the Bulldogs' best round of the weekend on Sunday, shooting a 71 to finish one-under par for the round.
Christian Long and Carter Klawonn each finished with a two-day score of 154. Long shot a 78 in the opening round and followed with a 76 on Sunday, while Klawonn recorded rounds of 76 and 78.
Eli Bowman rounded out Adrian's starting five with a 158 after shooting a 77 on Saturday and an 81 on Sunday.
Mason Gurney competed as an individual for the Bulldogs and also finished with a 158. Gurney carded an 81 in the opening round before bouncing back with a 77 on Sunday.
The Adrian College men's golf team will return to action on September 11-12 when the Bulldogs host the Irish Hills Invitational at Tecumseh Golf Club.
