Athletic Training Room Rules (Student athletes)
1. Dress appropriately for ALL treatment sessions. After practice, shower prior to coming into the athletic training room.
2. Both men and women need to keep their shirts on, unless otherwise needed for treatments.
3. No hats are to be worn in the athletic training room.
4. DO NOT TREAT YOURSELF. Check-in with an athletic trainer so that your treatment can be recorded and the appropriate treatment given. You can injure yourself and damage expensive equipment if you try to treat yourself.
5. Absolutely NOÂ horseplay!!
6. Do not interfere with or touch the equipment that you or someone else is connected to.
7. There will be no food, drinks, or chewing tobacco allowed in Athletic Training Room.
8. NO CLEATS ARE ALLOWED IN THE ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM.
9. NO PROFANITY.
10. Please leave athletic equipment in your locker room due to limited space in the athletic training room.
11. If you are issued braces, sleeves, etc., take care of them. Be sure to return them to a staff member so that your name will be removed from the equipment check-out list. Failure to do so will result in you being billed for the item(s).
12. You must be on time for any appointment given to you. This includes treatments here and visits to medical personnel in town. Every effort will be made to avoid missing classes for these appointments.
13. The Staff Athletic Trainers are the only ones authorized to make the appropriate referral to the proper medical resource, when necessary DO NOT GO TO A DOCTOR ON YOUR OWN-- IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL BILLS GENERATED.
14. Athletes seen by a physician, for any illness or injury, must present a WRITTEN release from that physician PRIOR to returning to activity.
15. All members of the athletic training staff are to be treated with the same respect afforded the coaching staffs.
