Returning to his alma mater in 2020-21, Doug Raymond '14, served as the ACHA Men's Division 1 Assistant Coach and the ACHA Men's Division 3 hockey Head Coach for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 seasons. He now serves as a full time Associate Head Coach for the Bulldogs' nationally-ranked and three-time ACHA Men's Division 1 National Championship team. The 2025-2026 season marks Raymond's sixth season with the MD1 Bulldogs and fourth as the team's Associate Head Coach. Aside from co-leading the charge, Coach Raymond also coordinates film sessions, workouts, recruiting, and practice plans for the team.

Raymond spent two years coaching the Kingsville Kings and prior to that, five seasons with the Seguin Huskies and Parry Sound Islanders Junior A hockey teams from 2015 to 2018. All teams are members of the Greater Metro Hockey League in Ontario, Canada. In the 2016-17 season, he led the Islanders to a franchise-best record of 34-7-1 and won the North Division title but lost in the Russell Cup Finals. He was named the GMHL Coach of the Year that season and was named a finalist for the honor in 2019-20. He also was chosen to coach in the league's all-star game three times during his junior hockey coaching career.
 
Raymond's other coaching experience includes Competitive Edge Skating out of Brighton, Canton High School varsity hockey coach (2014-15) and Detroit Catholic Central High junior varsity baseball coach (2008-09).
 
Doug played his collegiate hockey at Adrian College, winning a historic three straight ACHA Division 3 National Championships from 2012-14 as a member of the Bulldogs' Gold squad. Doug earned All-Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference All-Star three times (2012-14) and twice made the all-conference first team (2011-12). He graduated from Adrian College in the spring of 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. Doug played three years of junior hockey for the Missoula Maulers of the American West Hockey League, serving as a team captain for his final two seasons. Raymond now holds three ACHA National Championships as a player and two as a coach.
