Biography
Born: November 17, 1999
Matteo DiGiulio is from Maple, Ontario, Canada and spent four seasons in the Ontario Junior Hockey League before attending Adrian College. Matteo, who is often referred to as "Teo", grew up playing baseball and joined Adrian's Club Baseball team in 2022. He is also a dual citizen of Canada and the United States.
DiGiulio came to the Bulldogs in 2020 and, as a freshman, he won GLCHL Rookie of the Year and helped Adrian's ACHA Division 1 team capture their second National Championship in 2021. He then served as an Assistant Captain for the team during his junior season and was named the team's Captain for his final year in 2023-24. Before being named Captain, DiGiulio played for Team Canada at the 2023 World Cup of University Hockey in Romania.
The Ontario native graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Finance in the spring of 2023 and completed his Master's degree in General Business while playing his last season for the Bulldogs in 2023-2024.
DiGiulio captained his team to another National Championship title in 2024, where he earned All-Tournament First Team honors, after scoring two goals in the deciding game. DiGiulio also collected a GLCHL Second Team accolade for the regular season. Upon the conclusion of the 2023-24 campaign, he signed a professional contract with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL.
