Ashley Skelly is entering her seventh season as the head coach for the Adrian College softball program in 2022. The team has improved each year under Skelly, qualifying for the MIAA Tournament for the first time under her leadership in 2021.


NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

- Coached Paige Cubberly and Jamie Bell to All-MIAA Second-Team honors in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

- Coached Second Team All-MIAA selection K’ya Toles-Burton and CoSIDA Academic All-District selection Rebecca Greco during the 2016 season.
 

Prior to being brought on at Adrian, Skelly served as an assistant coach at St. Catherine College where she helped guide the team to the best postseason run in program history. She also mentored two Mid-South Conference First-Team and three Second-Team honorees during her single-season stint at the NAIA institution. 

Skelly began her coaching career at Washington and Jefferson College, serving as the first assistant and the primary pitching and outfielders coach. She also coached at Bethany College as a graduate assistant beginning in 2011.

As a student-athlete, Skelly was named all-conference all four years of her collegiate career. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in physical education from Bethany College and a master's degree in sports management from California University of Pennsylvania, as well as a master's degree in teaching from Bethany College.

Skelly lives in Michigan with her husband, Shawn, and their dog, Ketch.
