Carter Clarke begins his first season as Assistant Coach of Adrian College Men's NCAA Hockey in 2025-26.
Clarke had previously acted as the Director of Hockey Operations for the Men's NCAA hockey team at Adrian College and was part of the 2022 National Championship team.
After his first stint with the Men's NCAA hockey team, Clarke served as Head Coach of the Adrian College Women's ACHA Division 1 hockey team from 2022-2024. Originally from Arnprior, Ontario, Canada but a current native of Tecumseh, Michigan, Clarke was hired in 2022 as the Women's Division 1 program's then fourth Head Coach since the team's inception in 2012.
In two seasons with the WD1 Bulldogs, Clarke coached the team to a 55-16-2 record and two consecutive CCWHA Conference Playoff Championships. In 2024, Clarke led the WD1 Bulldogs to the program's first ACHA National Championship victory after a historic run at the National Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri. The 2024 WD1 National Championship was also the first national title for women's athletics in Adrian College team history! Clarke has coached numerous ACHA All-Americans and CCWHA All-Conference players in his two years with the team.
In the summer of 2024, Clarke left Adrian for an Assistant Coach position with the University of Wisconsin-Stout's Men's NCAA hockey program where he spent one season.
In 2022, Clarke graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management.
