DJ Schuster joins the Adrian College bowling staff as a coach beginning Fall 2026–2027 academic year.
DJ brings nearly eight years of high school bowling coaching experience to Adrian College. He spent five years at Evergreen High School in Metamora, Ohio rebuilding the Vikings into a
competitive team and is currently in his third year as boys coach at Napoleon High School in Napoleon, Ohio. During his tenure at Napoleon, his teams have advanced to the OHSAA State
Tournament and captured multiple Ohio Northwest District, Ohio Northwest Sectional, and NLL Championships. Coach DJ has guided many bowlers to many individual awards, including All
State, District, Sectional, and NWOAL and NLL teams.
In addition to bowling, Coach DJ coached girls fast-pitch softball for 11 years at both the travel-club and high school varsity levels. His time with the Lady Vikings resulted in both NWOAL and
OHSAA Sectional Championships. He coached several players to All State, District and NWOAL teams. Coach Schuster has also provided private bowling lessons for eight years and
private softball hitting and fielding instruction for 10 years.
A lifelong bowler with nearly 40 years of experience across multiple levels, he has earned numerous honor scores and awards. DJ is driven by a deep passion for coaching and a commitment to encouraging student-athletes to accomplish their goals both on the lanes and in the classroom.
