Kristina Schweikert

Kristina Schweikert is in her fourth year at Adrian College assenior woman administrator and also is the head softball coach.

The softball program has significantly improved under thedirection of Coach Schweikert.

Adrian has posted 20 or more wins in each of the three seasonsunder Schweikert for only the second time in school history. TheBulldogs have also posted back-to-back runner-up finishes in theMIAA for the first time since Adrian won the MIAA championships in1990-91.

Two seasons ago, Schweikert guided the Bulldogs to a 34-8overall record. The 34-win mark set an Adrian College team record.The Bulldogs also set school records with 58 doubles as a team, and515 total bases.

Under Schweikert, six different players have been All-MIAAhonorees on 12 different ocassions.

Schweikert coached five players during the 2009 season thatearned MIAA accolades. Three of the five players went on to receiveAll-Region honors, and one was recognized as the Most ValuablePitcher in the MIAA conference as well as a Third Team All-Americanby the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.
Schweikert used the talented roster to make a splash in the 2009NCAA Mideast Regionals held in Greencastle, Ind. Adrian Collegerepresented the MIAA conference as the third-seed in the centralregion.

The Rochester, N.Y. native took over the helm of the Bulldogsoftball program in 2008 after serving as an assistant coach atSiena Heights University.
Schweikert brings a wealth of experience to Adrian College. Afour-year letterwinner at Tiffin University (Ohio), Schweikertearned numerous accolades for her career with the Dragons as afirst baseman and center fielder. She was named First TeamAll-Conference in 2004, 2005, and 2006. In her senior season alone,Schweikert was tabbed AMC Player of the Week, First TeamAll-Region, First Team NFCA All-American, First Team NAIAAll-American, First Team Academic All-American, and AMC NorthPlayer of the Year. Over her career with the Dragons, Schweikertbroke several records including single season and career marks forwalks and runs.

While serving as an assistant coach at Siena Heights University,Schweikert helped coach two All-Conference players and three NAIAScholar Athletes. In addition to her coaching experience with theSaints, Schweikert has been a coach for young athletes at theNational Youth Sports Program in Rochester, N.Y. and the LeMoyneCollege summer camps in Syracuse, N.Y.

Schweikert graduated from Tiffin University in 2006 with abachelor of arts in business administration with a concentration insports management. She is currently pursuing a master of artsdegree in leadership with a concentration in organizationalleadership from Siena Heights University.
