Mark Hunt

Mark Hunt was named the head coach of the Adrian College men's and women's tennis programs in June 2026. Hunt has been coaching tennis since 1999, beginning at the youth and high school levels before transitioning to the collegiate ranks later in his career.

Hunt began his coaching career with the United Independent School District as an assistant coach, helping lead the team to a district championship in 2000. After spending three years as a tennis professional at Odessa Country Club, he coached at Ector County Independent School District from 2003-12. During that time, he won two city championships at the middle school level before moving up to the high school ranks, where he guided teams to multiple district finals appearances, regional tournaments, and state tournament berths.

His success continued at Boerne Independent School District, where he led the program to district and regional championships before capturing the 2018 state championship. That same year, Hunt was named the Texas State High School Coach of the Year. He later earned 2020 District Coach of the Year honors while coaching at Mesquite Poteet High School.

In 2023, Hunt became the head coach at Cornerstone University, where he coached an individual qualifier to the national tournament following a top-15 ranking and helped the program earn recognition as a 2023 WHAC Team Finalist. Most recently, Hunt served as an assistant coach at Hope College, where he helped guide the women's program to three MIAA championships and NCAA Tournament appearances while also assisting the men's team to three MIAA Tournament final appearances.
