With the 2017-18 season, Tricia DeFelice '16 is in her second year as the head figure skating coach and second assistant coach for synchronized skating, under Director of Skating Ashley Carlson.
As a member of synchronized skating, DeFelice was a member of the first national qualifying Collegiate team during her freshman year (2012-13), a member of the inaugural Senior team (2013-14), and served as a co-captain of the Senior team during her final two years of skating. In 2015-16, she led the Bulldogs to their international debut as Team USA at the Spring Cup in Milan, Italy, and the team’s all-time highest placement at the 2016 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
She served as co-captain of the figure skating team and achieved a Midwest Conference Championship in all four years of her undergraduate career. Individually, DeFelice captured four national titles, 12 national medals, and three team most valuable player awards.
DeFelice, who is from Ocean City, N.J., graduated this spring with a degree in marketing. She will continue her education at Adrian College by pursuing a master's degree in sports administration and leadership.
She capped her tremendous four-year collegiate career in style, earning two major departmental accolades as Best Female Athlete in the inaugural Adrian College Exhibits Excellence In Sport (ACEES) Awards and Senior Female Athlete of the Year.
