Ali Alamdari is entering his 16th season at the helm of the Adrian College women’s soccer program in 2023.

As the seventh coach in program history, Alamdari has led the Bulldogs to two Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular-season crowns (2011 & 2019) and a pair of MIAA tournament championships (2018 & 2019). During the team’s most recent championship run, the Bulldogs put together the second 17-win season in program history, both coming under Alamdari’s leadership. They also saw their deepest run in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the second round.

With 15 seasons under his belt, Alamdari stands as the winningest coach in program history with an overall record of 158-96-34 (0.607) and a conference record of 97-59-18 (0.609).

Despite an untraditional 2020 campaign, Adrian still qualified for its tenth MIAA tournament behind Alamdari. The program also added two first-time All-MIAA honorees and one repeat selection. In total, Alamdari has produced 45 All-MIAA recipients, consisting of 28 first-teamers. He has also coached three of the conference’s most valuable players, including Erin Weide (2012 & 2014), Sam Barker (2011 & 2013) and Caroline Fleming (2019).

In addition to MIAA accolades, Alamdari has coached two United States Coaches (USC) All-Americans, as well as 22 USC All-Region honorees.

Furthermore, Alamdari is the founder and director of the Adrian Soccer Academy which was formed in the summer of 2009. He also serves as the development officer for the athletics department at Adrian College, helping direct the popular Adrian Bulldog Club Golf Outing fundraiser every June.

Prior to being hired at Adrian, Alamdari spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Albion College women’s soccer program where he helped guide the program to a 25-7-6 overall record and conference championship in 2007.

He also served time as the head coach of the women’s soccer team at Loy Norrix High School in Kalamazoo, and as a goalkeeper coach at Portage Northern High School in Portage, Michigan.

Alamdari is licensed by the NSCAA and United States Soccer Federation and holds a Master of Arts degree in performance driven leadership from Western Michigan University.

He resides in Northville, Michigan with his wife, Jessica, and daughters Juno and Emmy.
