Adrian College

Toby Ernst serves as the head strength and conditioning coach and equipment manager at Adrian College. Ernst has served as equipment manager for six years and has been associated with Adrian College since his graduation in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science (physical education). Ernst is entering his first year in charge of strength and conditioning.

Ernst is CSCS certified in practical and applied sciences through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and did a professional internship with Bowling Green State University in the summer of 2011. Ernst has also had the opportunity to work with the Detroit Lions equipment staff during mini-camp in 2010.

Toby is responsible for overseeing a staff of student workers as well as the inventory, purchasing, stocking and maintenance of all athletic equipment needs for 24 NCAA Division III sports as equipment manager. Ernst was a three-year letterman with the men's basketball team from 2000-03 at Adrian College and played baseball as well from 1998-99.

Toby and his wife, Shantay, reside in Adrian, and have two children, Devon and Ciara.
