The Adrian College women's basketball bench players came to play on Tuesday night in a 65-51 loss at Siena Heights. The Bulldog reserves scored 39 of the team's 51 points and were led in scoring by freshman Megan Bouwens who tossed in 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor. Bouwens also grabbed six boards in 15 minutes of action. Elysia Norris also had a fine game for Adrian with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in 20 minutes.
The always steady sophomore Kim Olech posted a double-double with 10 points and 14 boards. She also had four steals and two blocks to round out her night. The Bulldogs were hurt once again by turnovers committing 26 which allowed the Saints to score 30 points. SHU got 19 points and 12 boards from Onicko Biggs.
Adrian was 21-of-54 from the floor (.389) and 2-of-8 from the arc. Siena Heights was 23-of-62 from the floor (.371) and 5-of-17 from the arc. Adrian is now 1-2 overall.
