Jan. 12, 2008

Stats

ANGOLA, Ind. - The life of college basketball on the road leads to heartache and Saturday afternoon was no exception for Adrian College as they fell 72-62 at the hands of Tri-State University in a game that saw Adrian shoot just 3-of-21 from behind the arc. The motto of "living and dying but the three" proved true as the Bulldogs just could not capitalize in the half court. In particular it was the Adrian guards who had a rough day shooting the rock. The team seems to go as junior Desmond Young goes and he sputtered trying to find his scoring touch. Young finished with eight points and was 4-of-13 from the field. He also had eight boards and two assists in 38 minutes.

Senior guard Ryan Gallus tied a season-high with 25 points going 11-of-23 overall and 9-of-12 inside the arc. Gallus also grabbed five boards and swiped three steals in 36 minutes. Senior forward Ian Weber recorded his fourth double-double of the year with 10 points and 11 boards. He was 4-of-4 from the floor and 2-of-3 at the foul line in 22 minutes before fouling out. Matt Wayne also fouled out in the contest limited to just 11 minutes.
