ADRIAN, Mich. -
The Adrian College men's soccer team was defeated by the Trine Thunder 3-1 Wednesday night at Performance Stadium. The Bulldogs are now 1-4 in MIAA action.
Kevin Wajert of Trine scored the first goal of the game off a penalty kick in the 21st minute of play. Femi Adediji gave the Thunder a 2-0 lead, but it was Wajert's second goal of the game that put the Bulldogs away. Derek Marucci was credited with an assist on Wajert's second goal.
The Bulldogs could not find their rhythm offensively. Play stopped frequently as each team had over 20 fouls. Eric Drake managed to score the lone goal of the game for the Bulldogs. He was assisted on the play by Joey Flater.
Nick Siekirk played all 90 minutes as the goalkeeper for Adrian. Siekirk recorded five saves against the Thunder.
The men's soccer team will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11th when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Calvin at 2:00 p.m.
