Final Stats

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College women's hockey team defeated UW-Superior 5-3 on Friday night at Wessman Arena. Olivia Rork scored two goals in the third period for the Bulldogs. Adrian improved their overall record to 5-2.

The game remained scoreless through the first period. Lyndsay Laxton scored the first goal of the game off an assist by Prenella Semma. The Yellow Jackets tied the game off a goal from Jodi Holland, and took the lead after a goal from Jessica Tyra. Freshman Brooke Zaleski scored to tie the game at 2-2 to end the second period.

Rork scored her first goal five minutes into the third period. Jodi Myers earned the assist on the play. Rork's second goal came at the 12:58 mark. Jessica Grubbs and Stacey Kempson each got an assist on the goal.

Shana Katz scored to get the Yellow Jackets back within a goal of the Bulldogs. Kempson put the game out of reach, and gave Adrian the 5-3 win. Alexis Glenn recorded the assist on the Kempson goal.

Dana Timm was the goaltender for the Bulldogs. Timm ended the game with 33 saves including 15 in the third period.

Adrian will play the Yellow Jackets again tomorrow at Wessman Arena at 2:00 p.m.
