The women's basketball team cruised to a 76-49 win on Tuesday night at Earlham. The Bulldogs won their eighth straight and led by as many as 27 points in the second half with 32 seconds left. Adrian grabbed the lead at 13-12 with 14:26 left in the first half and never let it go pushing the advantage to 32-20 with 4:51 left in the half. Adrian led 38-28 at halftime shooting 15-for-32 from the field including 5-for-11 behind the arc. Anita Stamps scored 15 of her team-high 23 points in the first half.
Earlham closed the gap to 40-35 early in the second half but the Bulldogs pushed the peddle down and went on a run over a five-minute span which pushed their lead to 54-39 with 10:58 to play. Stamps had a very good all-around game with five rebounds, five assists and five steals. Jennifer Perrin added 11 points, two assists and two steals. All 11 players who saw action scored for Adrian.
AC shot 48.4 percent (30-for-62) for the game and made a season-high 11 three-pointers in 21 attempts (52.4). The Bulldogs held a 41-34 edge on the boards including 11 offensive rebounds. Earlham finished the game shooting 37.7 percent (20-for-53) and were just 5-for-26 (19.2) behind the arc.
