MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The men's hockey team had a tough defensive battle at Milwaukee School of Engineering on Friday night and posted a 2-1 win improving to 7-0 in the MCHA and extending their regular season conference winning streak to 22 games dating back to last year.

Adrian College and MSOE played a physical game which was scoreless for the first 30:17 until Eric Miller scored his ninth goal of the season at even strength with assists from Adam Krug and Shawn Skelly to give AC a 1-0 lead. It was Miller's league-leading ninth goal of the season. Lightning struck twice in a span of 1:09 as Brad Houston scored the eventual game-winning goal, his fifth of the year, with assists from Mike Dahlinger and Chris Stansik at even strength. Adrian took their 2-0 lead into the third period.

The Raiders cut the lead to 2-1 at the 11:05 mark at even strength as Ben Kenyon scored his second of the year with assists from Matt Leitzan and Jason Woll. The Raiders had a chance to tie the game later in the third period as Houston went into the box for two minutes after a cross checking minor. Adrian killed off the penalty and Brad Fogal made a couple big saves after MSOE pulled their goaltender for an extra attacker in the final minute of play. Fogal stopped 27 shots on the night improving to 9-1-1 in net.

Conner Toomey made 32 saves for the Raiders including 27 in the first two periods. Adrian was 0-for-4 on the power play but did kill all four Raider power plays. The two teams will conclude their weekend series at the Kern Center tomorrow.
