HANCOCK, Mich. -
The second-semester struggles continued for the Adrian College women's hockey team on Sunday as they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Finlandia University Lions.
The Lions scored goals in each period, including their last goal 20 seconds into the third frame, to put the Bulldogs in a 3-0 hole. Steph Dimini connected with Keegan Castrillo with 4:41 left in the game to get the Bulldogs on the scoreboard. Adrian, however, ran out of time and fell for the second-straight day to the Lions.
Dana Timm made a game-high 18 saves in goal while suffering the loss in goal.
The Bulldogs were out-shot on the afternoon, having 15 shots on goal to Finlandia's 21. The Bulldogs were also unable to get things going on special teams, going 0-for-6 on power play situations while only being whistled for four penalties in the contest.
The Bulldogs will return to the Arrington Ice Arena for the first time in almost a month next weekend when they host Concordia University (Wis.) on Saturday and Sunday, February 16 and 17. Saturday's game is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
