The Adrian Bulldog men's soccer team was shutout against the Earlham Quakers by the score of 2-0 in Richmond on Saturday afternoon.
Neither goalie allowed a goal in the first half. Alex Pavlika finished the game with five saves. Kyle Thompson of Earlham also recorded five saves for the Quakers.
Victor Anciano of Earlham took control of the second half as he scored both goals for the Quakers. Anciano was assisted by Michael Ellis when he scored his first goal in the 66th minute of the game. Anciano didn't waste anytime as he scored his second goal of the game off a corner kick from Nick Costello in the 68th minute of the second half.
The Bulldogs out shot the Quakers 6-2 in the first half, but the second half belonged to Anciano and the Quakers as they recorded seven shots on goal compared to four from the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs will play their home opener on Wednesday Sept. 3, when they face Baldwin-Wallace at 7 p.m.
