ADRIAN, Mich. -
The Adrian College men's soccer team fell to 1-2 overall as they were defeated by the Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jackets 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Baldwin-Wallace (3-0) took control of the game by scoring two first half goals. Andy Synk scored the first goal of the game for the Yellow Jackets off of a free kick from nearly 25 yards away.
Synk was also credited with an assist when Cory Weidner scored a goal to increase the lead to 2-0 in the 41st minute of the first half.
Baldwin-Wallace recorded 10 shots in the first half compared to three from the Bulldogs. Adrian played more aggressive in the second half and put up eights shots, as the Yellow Jackets only managed four.
Senior Eric Drake scored his first goal of the season for the Bulldogs in the 79th minute of the second half.
Zachary Ryman of Baldwin-Wallace recorded three saves in the last ten minutes of the game helping the Yellow Jackets pull out the win. Nate Bauer, Markian Shier and Drake all had shots on goal in attempt to tie the game.
The Bulldogs will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 10, when they travel to Ada, Ohio to face Ohio Northern at 4:00 p.m.
