Three's Run Wild in 9-0 Win over Concordia (Wis.)

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Bulldog men's hockey squad continued their dominance of the MCHA with a 9-0 win over Concordia (Wis.) on Saturday. Adrian improved to 12-1-1 overall and 9-0 in the conference. The Bulldogs got off to a quick start and put pressure on the Falcons all night long to the tune of 53 shots on goal.

Newcomer Mike Leone scored his first goal as a Bulldog in his second game with the team at 4:39 of the first period with assists from Sam Kuzyk and Bobby Hineman. Hineman scored a power play goal at 13:13 for his third goal of the year with assists from Kuzyk and Brad Houston. Joel Workman finished out the period at 17:08 with a wrist shot in front for his third of the year as Houston and Mike Towns each got credited with an assist.

Shawn Skelly scored on the power play to start the second period scoring at 3:18 for his 14th tally of the season. Adam Krug and Eric Miller also added goals in the second to give AC a 6-0 lead after two periods.

Kuzyk, Miller and Skelly concluded the scoring in the third period as Miller's second goal of the night came on the power play at 14:35 for his 12th goal of the year. Miller finished with four points as did Skelly. Adrian went 3-for-7 on the power play and took 20 shots on goal during the seven chances.

Brad Fogal posted his second shutout of the season and seventh of his career with 19 saves. He made seven saves in the first, eight more in the second and four in the third.
