Women's Hockey Drops 3-2 Decision at Concordia (Minn.)

MOORHEAD, Minn. - The women's hockey team dropped a 3-2 road decision on Friday night at Concordia (Minn.) falling to 8-5-1 overall. The Bulldogs trailed 1-0 after the first period as Kaylee Black scored her fourth goal of the season at 6:38 on the power play for Concordia.

Jessica Grubbs tied the game at 1-1 at 10:22 of the second period on the power play for her eighth goal of the season with an assist from Alexis Glenn and Andrea Soloko. Concordia regained the lead at 2-1 just under three minutes later on the power play as Mandi Samuelson scored her fourth goal of the year.

Brooke Zaleski tied the game at 2-2 at the 16:26 mark on an even strength goal with assists from Stacey Kempson and Nicole Zynda. Katelyn Dold got the game-winner for the Cobbers at 19:03 of the second on another power play goal.

Adrian finished the game with a 40-26 advantage in shots on goal and were 1-for-7 on the power play. Concordia took full advantage of their power play opportunities going 3-for-6 including 2-for-3 in the second period.

Dana Timm made 23 saves including 18 in the final two periods.
