ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men's soccer team picked up their third MIAA win of the season on Tuesday night with a 1-0 victory over Trine University. The Bulldogs are now 6-8-3 overall.
Adrian controlled the first half as they attempted nine shots compared to just one by their opponent. That one shot by Trine was a blast from Curtis Holcom at the 20:25 mark from twenty yards out. Alex Pavlika was in good position and made a diving stop to keep the game scoreless.
The game remained close throughout the second half. The play of the game came in the 84th minute of play when Dillon Wilde took the ball up the left side of the field. Wilde passed the ball across the middle of the field to Ben Enser who scored the game winner. Enser entered the game as a substitute twenty seconds before scoring the goal. It is the second time he has scored a goal less than a minute from entering the game this season.
