Final Stats
HANCOCK, Mich. - The Adrian College women's hockey team defeated Finlandia University by the final score of 4-0 on Saturday night. Adrian is now 4-6 overall this season.
Adrian committed more penalties than their opponents and were also outshot 32-23, yet they were able to score at least one goal in each period to pick up the win.
Shana Davis scored the first goal of the game for the Bulldogs. The goal gives Davis five this season. Dana Funkenhauser and Danielle Maludy were credited with assists on the play.
Adrian took control of the game by scoring two goals in the second period. Kelly Salis scored an unassisted goal to begin the period. Jessica Grubbs connected on a power-play goal less than three minutes later to open up a 3-0 advantage. Maludy recorded her second assist of the game on the Grubbs goal.
Grubbs scored her eighth goal of the season in the third period to give Adrian the 4-0 victory. Andrea Soloko and Nikki Potter picked up assists on the play. Dana Timm was the goaltender for AC. Timm finished the game with 26 saves.
