ADRIAN, Mich. -
The Adrian College women's hockey team fell to 2-6 overall after being defeated by UW-River Falls on Saturday afternoon by the final score of 4-2.
Olivia Rork scored the first goal of the game for the Bulldogs. Assists were credited to Jenna Corbin and Shana Davis.
The Falcons were able to tie the game late in the period by scoring a power-play goal at the 16:54 mark. Amanda Ryder scored her third goal of the season off an assist from Jessica Thompson.
UW-River Falls took the lead in the second period. Sophomore Breanna Hrabe scored an unassisted goal to give the Falcons a 2-1 lead.
Adrian was not able to make a comeback due to River Falls scoring two goals in the final period. Thompson scored two power-play goals for the Falcons to give River Falls the victory.
Stacey Kempson scored her fifth goal of the season with less than a minute to play. Dana Timm made 31 saves as the goalkeeper for Adrian, while Cassi Campbell made 22 saves for the Falcons.
